Stewardship Committee

The Stewardship Committee conducts the annual pledge campaign, usually held in February, to enable our self-supporting congregation to pay for the building, ministry and programs for the coming fiscal year which starts on July 1.  Members and friends are encouraged to make a contribution of record in the form of an annual pledge to allow a reliable, financially responsible budgeting process. Most of the congregation’s income comes from these pledges; the rest comes from the Sunday collection, fundraisers and rental income.

In 2019, a subcommittee of the Stewardship Committee conducted a successful capital campaign, under the banner of Our Living Legacy. Pledges have reached the goal of $300,000, payable over three years. These funds will be used to reduce the mortgage on our building and free up funds to help ensure the future of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County.
