UUCSC Music

Music at UUCSC is as diverse as the congregation and is an essential part of our services.  It enriches our worship together and brings living art into the sanctuary for all to enjoy.

The Director of Music Michael Galib accompanies and directs the choir, as well as leads congregational singing of traditional hymns and diverse cultural music during services.  His selections for the choir or for his individual performances range from classical to contemporary.

Volunteer members from the congregation perform in the choir for all services of the church year. During summer services, special music is organized and provided by congregational volunteers.

On occasion, the director performs inspirational solo selections on piano, and musicians from the congregation may participate in a service, under his direction.  The musical highlight of the year is the Christmas Eve Eve service, directed by Michael.  Music is a different and vital way of communicating our shared compassion and love at UUCSC.
