Environmental Justice Subcommittee

The Environmental Justice Subcommittee collaborates with Climate Action RI Island and coordinates rallies, forums, and demonstrations to oppose the Keystone Pipeline and raise awareness of climate change.  Such actions halted the proposed electric plant in Burrillville, RI.  The subcommittee educates the congregation on how to get involved in local environmental action in support of the Green Sanctuary status we hold with the UUA.

For recent activities of the Environmental Justice Subcommittee, see the 2019-2020 Social Justice Annual Report.

The Environmental Justice Committee meets on an as needed basis.
