Sermon audio – Lessons from El Paso – Rev. DL Helfer
Guest at Your Table (GAYT) is the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s longest-running fundraising program to increase awareness about important human rights issues.
The theme of this year’s GAYT program is Justice Across Borders. The money collected will provide support for migrants in transit, protect the right to seek asylum, and address root causes of migration.
Because UUSC works in more than 25 countries with more than 75 grassroots partners, thousands of individuals benefit the assistance provided by UUSC. This year, UUSC will partner with grassroots allies along the Central American migration trail.
When you participate in GAYT, you’ll receive a box for collecting coins at your table. Contributors also can write a check to UUSC and put it in the box. The Shelter Rock UU congregation in Manhasset, New York matches gifts of more than $125, so you generosity will be doubled at that level. Contributions of more than $40 entitled the donor to membership in UUSC. Membership benefits include a newsletter. All donations are tax-deductible.
UUCSC’s GAYT program begins on Sunday, November 11 and ends on Monday, January 7. Please pick up a GAYT box for your household and return it in January.

Thank you for your generosity!
