Rev. Helfer was reminded recently of the power of music in movement building, of songs sung over and over, working their way into our communal psyche. But this song, “This Land is Your Land,” almost an anthem by now, has meaning hidden in lyrics no longer sung. We will explore the ways that music, poetry, and spoken word invite us to lay claim to the true history of these lands.
